Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
I just finished watching this movie, and I'm not that impressed. In fact, I'm a bit disappointed. Granted the book is quite long, and to make the whole thing into a movie would have resulted in something in length relative to Lawrence of Arabia, but still, it isn't that impressive of a movie. Not much of a build-up, not much of a climax, hardly a dénouement. Can't say I'm all that interested in seeing the next film after the ending of this one. Actually, if I didn't know any better, I'd say this was the last film in the series. Seems like the whole thing is over already. Not a good way to end a movie in the middle of a series.
The scenery is breath-taking, the stunts pretty cool but really, compared to the other films, this one doesn't hold a wand to them. Useful chunks were taken out and too much rif-raf was left in.
Ugh. Disappointed.
Rating: G-$_G-$
